Hello, I purchased a Chinese Vertical 250CC 167FML engine.
It now backfires via the carb and revs up & down. I am currently checking for any loose wiring; will update when done with that.
The clutch actuator lever is not hitting the pushrod inside the casing. The rod is actually hitting the inside of the case. It has made an indentation inside (above the notched out portion of the actuator lever) the casing. When installing the casing, I confirm alignment, tighten bolts, place cable, etc. The clutch will not engage to be able to roll it while in gear with the handle pressed. I remove the cable and let the lever go back to its natural position, (approximately a 10:00 position) and the lever literally bounces back and forth. It has some metal on metal sounds and serious clashing at times when I try to crank it now as well.
