Alot of Chinese ATV's,like my SUNL 200cc, Have 12V18/18W headlight bulbs that are pretty dim. If you just put in higher powered lamps they can burn up your stator. By junking those crappy dual brakelight fixtures and replacing them with a 1 inexpensive LED trailer light fixture, you save about 48 watts on your stator. each brake lightfixture uses 26 watts. Thus now you can up grade to a12V30/30w headlight bulbs. Part # BK-7307351 at Napa auto parts stores for a $1.69 or so. Napa has all sorts of ATV bulbs real cheap compared to dealer,or online aftermarket brands. I asked alot of questions in regards to the stator out-put on Chinese ATV's. There is no sure fire way to test the output on a stator with normal multimeters ect. Don't add OFF-ROAD lights on and hook them up to the battery, Lamps run on steady 12V only, hooking them to battery they get up to 14V when battery is charging which will burn out the lightsbecause the are ment for 12V. Your stator only puts out the power it was designed to for your type of ATV.If you just add more powerfull lights as you ride your battery will drain and you could get stuck out in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery also, and repeated use like this will burn up your stator. Save watts by going 1 LED fixture on the back and adding the extra wattage to the front. Standard Harbor freight tools LED trailer light kit is $33.00. Napa up grade bulb $1.69 or so.

I had a problem with the LED trailer lights I got from Harbor Frieght Tolls. The LEDS were going out. I returned them twice with the same problem. I got my money back and bought a set from Walmart instead. Went on a strong ride and they heald up great. They were $10.00 more though.

The LED tail lights I got from Walmart are still working great. Went on a rocky 60 mile ride today into the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. This was the perfect fix for the dim headlights.
