Well....I have three Manco ATV's from tractor Supply.
2 are 2 wheel drive and one is 4WD.
Absolutely no problems for a little under one year.
One developed a carb problem. I asked TS where to take it for warranty work and the new manager said he'd find out and get back with me. 2 Days and I didn't hear anything so I went in. Turns out TS has hunderds of warranties they didn't register....including mine. After a week of fighting and threats to sue, they're getting mine straightened out. This is on the extended 3 year warranty.
If you have an extended Warranty with TS...Good luck. They're on the never buy from again, list.
Yesterday, the 4 wd developed transmission problems. I wasn't riding it hard, Just a quick trip up a road and when I got back on, it started heating up. The transmission that is. Plenty of fluid.
Anyway, it started acting like the automatic clutch was stuck. It wouldn't disengage. Then there was a squealing from somewhere so I got it in the shed quick and shut it down. I guess that means another fight with TS.
Any ideas on what he transmission problem might be?

Don, Sorry to hear your having problems with your ATVs. The clutches may be stuck together. I will do some looking around tonight on the web and see what I can find. The good news is I bet between us we can find and fix the problem. Give me a call when you get the chance. Don't forget I have that 1.5W solar panel for you. There are a few different types of auto clutches. Yours may use the belt type if thats the case which it most likely is you may need a new belt. I will be out in the garage all day if your in the area come on by. I got a new tool box last night so it will take a while to find and clean all my tools and get them in the box. I had problems with my carb also and started using stabil in the fuel and draining the fuel out of the carb when they are put up also start them and burn the last little bit out of the passages. Since then no more problems. Just takes a min. & sure beats having to clean the jets. Larry PS I made a space for Manco's so we can move this down there or start a new thread there for these repairs.

Thanks Larry but I think I have it under control now. After a week and a half of fighting Tractor supply (I even chewed out the president of TC) and the idiots at the warranty company, we got it straight. The service company is very good. I took ATV number 1 in today and within 10 minutesm they found the problem. A screw had sheared in the carb and the butterfly was flapping. After explaining the problem on ATV number 2, he said the clutch was aluminum and when they were over revedm they melted. No problem...still covered. While I was there my wife bought me a Christmas present that I fel guilty over.....but just a little ;D A whizzer 100 MPG, no tags or license, 35MPH (45 with a simple mod to the intake restrictor plate) same design since the 40's

It was a little late when I got home last evening but I did put about 10 miles on it, I can ride it anywhere I would normally take a bicycle. It's perfect for short trips, Before my knee started going west, I used to ride my bike 10 miles or so a day.

Looking forward to the pictures Larry. If you need local parts, try pedals, chains and things. They are on rt 10 about a mile east of 295. Pass the firehouse on the left and they are 2/10 of a mile on the left.
It's a two man operation and they are characters...but he seems to have and have access to every ATV part known to man. Good prices too. He also has an ebay store.

I like BigKids idea of the burning the fuel left in the float bowl... good idea for sure..
I on the other hand didnt do that and spent the day pulling carbs off and cleaning the varnish out of them and all the gooey crap. All was fine until I got to my daughters 110cc, it kept on leaking like the float was stuck, after three attempts of pulling it off and putting it back on it finally stopped leaking... So then not knowing that 1 +1 + 2, I put on the battery charger and got a big spark from under the body, this spark set all the gas that was draining into a huge flame.
I ran to the house to get the extinguisher, its gone,, I run to the boat,,, its empty,,, I run to the garden house its in a tangled mess,, I start filling buckets of water and trucking them into the garage,,,its in a huge plume of flames, as I dumped the 3rd 10 gal bucket of water on it the gas tank ruptured, 1 gallon of gas goes pouring out on fire all over my garage,,, it was about to burn down, flames were shooting up to the ceilling... All I could do is grab hold of the rear of it and drag it out into the yard before my whole garage was consumed.
So ya, I saved the garage burned a 600 dollar chinese quad, at least I dont have to work on it anymore !!!
I know you all wanted to throw gas on yours at times and set them a blaze, but don't because when its all over you will sit there and look at how you can make it run again

Man Fugley thats terrible, you actually made it sound kind of funny the way you described it. Glad to here that you got it out of the garage in time.
On another note, what I have used in the gas for storage is Sta BIL. It's a fuel stabilizer that prevents the fuel from getting like varnish. A lot of the Chinese quads have metal gas tanks and need to be full for storage to prevent condensation from forming inside and eventually causing rust. The treated fuel will also be in the carburetor so it won't varnish up.
