4th of July Pass ATV area is one of the best in North Idaho. The designated trails and forest service roads are abundant. It is not uncommon to have Elk and other large game animals to be found along the trails and forest service roads. The Panhandle forest is vast from the Canadian Border south to interstate 90,Washington state border to the Montana border. Idaho panhandle is very ATV and UTV friendly. You are now allowed to drive your rigs on all roads except Hwys and Freeways of course. All Trails and Forest service roads are clearly marked. Trails are on the moderate to hard side and so are some of the forest service roads. I find that I have no problems with my Chinese SUNL 200cc 2x4 ATV fully loaded on any of the forest service roads. But if you have a 4x4 chinese atv you will have no problem on trails. You can view a map of this forest at NorthIdahoATVAssociation.com look at the maps section and go up and enlarge to 100% for best viewing. This encompasses the vast North Fork of the Coeur D' Alene River. My wife and I have weekly trips into this wilderness doing loop trips upinto the surrounding mountains and then picnicing next to this great river. The river is a catch and release Cutthroat Trout fishery and is packed full of trout in its crystal clear waters. See us on our Face Book page ATVSUNLSpokane@ facebook. Attachments:
