I did alot of research and found there are the same simple rules apply to changing the coolant on any ATV or Bike. First is your regular Walmart brand 50/50 mix that is for Aluminum radiators or the fancy bike shop kinds work the same. I used the Walmart 50/50 blend as was instructed by my local bike repair shop.(anti-freeze is anti-freeze) 1st I located at the bottom of the radiator the drain plug and drained the old fluid into a coffee can. Then I removed the bottom and top radiator hose from the radiator and drained those out. Now if you follow the bottom radiator hose it will take you to the waterpump. Usually one of the small bolts will have a triangle pointing at it. This is the pump drain and primer. Next follow the top hose to the thermostate, there will be a bolt on top(10mm or so) that you loosen to drain and prime there. Now put drain plug back into the radiator and attach both hoses back to the radiator. Just tighten both the waterpump prime nut and the thermostate prime nut to where it is workable. Fill the radiator with 50/50 fluid to the top. Start the motor and let warm up just a little bit. Lossen the bolt on the waterpump just enough to let enough fluid out that you know there is no air in that line. Then tighten it down enough for it dosn't leak. Now go to the thermostate and un loosen the bleeded bolt there and let enough fluid come out so you know there is no air there.Sometimes there are related hoses between the bottom radiator hose and the thermostate, loosen ,remove end at thermostate and let a little fluid flow. Besure to check and add fluid as you take each step. That ATV for an easy ride, this will ensure you don't overheat your block and crack it. Check fluid several times to make sure it gets all the air out and the fluid level stays up there. Now if you have overflow tanks,be sure to drain those when you drain everything else at the beginning. SEE ME AT ATVSUNLSpokane on facebook. besure to go back and tighten everything down good.
