It is very important to have a chain with a minimum of 1/2 inch of play in the chain at the beginning of every ride. On the rear end there are two larger bolts that need to be just loosened a little bit,so the chain adjuster can work. when the rear end is off the ground, spin tires so you can get to them through holes in rear srocket. If you are not sure of the alignment of the rear axle, then back off the chain adjuster bolts all the way, pull back on axle till taunt.Put ATV in nuetral, lower off of the jack. Then with a socket wrench start putting the same turns equally on bothsides as you tighten up the chain. After you get it to a 1/2 inch of play ,jack the ATV back up and tighten the larger bolts, add lock-tite material to all bolt threads or at least a drop on the threads after tightening. Use semi-permanant type of compound. I use the generic type of lock-tite found at Harbor frieght tools inc. You get alot more for your money! Check me out at ATVSUNLSpokane on facebook.
