Can anyone tell me how to remove the starter on a Hi Bird 250cc? I tried to find videos but nothing looks like my starter. I removed 3 bolts on one side but when I pried that cover off, there was just a gear there. I removed the long screws from the other side but the starter would not budge. The starter turns slow & the battery wires get super hot when cranking. When I remove the spark plug, the starter turns faster & the wires don't get hot, so I think the starter is bad but have no clue how to remove it.
