TAO TAO 150 Utility Bull

This machine is about a month old!   This ATV has a Speed Limiter on it which is being used until my grandson is comfortable with the handle.  We are running the ATV in a wooded, semi hilly area some this ATV has difficulty climb the hills because of muddy conditions and grade and the ATV stop moving.  Engine runs but obviously insufficient torque, can this condition result in damage to the transmission?

Secondly this ATV has pause before the transmission engages,  is this normal for the TOA?   Has there been problem with the automatic transmission?

My sons each have the 150 bulls, brand new a week ago, one had such starting issues they sent me a new carb, ??
I did the upgrades of new ngk plug, mobil1 oil, and new yuesa battery.
I'll let you know but had no issues just starting them for short rides...
