What will cause this to happen??? I've checked the fuel bowl it seemed to be ok but I decided to replace it. Apparently that wasn't the problem. Would a spark plug be possibly be the cause or what other part could cause the problem???

Common mistake of engine kill switch engaged. look for the simplest solutions first. If its not stale fuel and you have drained out fuel to ensure. Could need carb if its been sitting without stabilizer for many months. Some choke levers do not go high enough due to hitting the frame of fuel shutoff /bracket, see if the choke lever is being blocked from being lifted high enough

check fuel lines starting from the tank i just had a clogged up fuel shutoff petthingy and a super clogged carb. my carb bowl didnt have removable screws i had to cut slots into them and use a flathead screwdriver. got the needle and jet cleaned and runs great. one season sitting made it do that
