Engine cranks well but no power to the plug. Ok I’ve been working on this issue for a while. I did find a green wire that was grounding to the frame so I thought that was the issue. Didn’t fix it. I understand that green is the power wire in these machines correct? I took it to a guy who use to work on it. He couldn’t figure it out. He swapped out the cdi, regulator, coil so it’s most likely none of those. Checked continuity at the engine kill switch and the wrist strap. No issues. Also, the headlight does glow when cranking the engine so stator seems ok?
one thing I did notice is that the green wire on the coil has continuity to ground. This seems wrong to me? Even with everything turned on (key switch, engine switch, wrist strap).
not sure where to go next, trying to fix this and give it to my son for Xmas. Thanks for any help!
