Everything worked on my Red Fox Razor 150cc scooter when I got it, except the headlight. Before the company sent me a new one, I found out that I could jumper between 2 of the 4 pins, and the headlight would come on with the switch. I was just jumping from the purple battery wire to the headlight wire. I did not include the yellow stator wire. I really couldn't tell much difference. Is the wire coming from the alternator supposed to make it brighter? I only used a tiny jumper wire. I would think a headlight bulb would need a larger wire. Any help understanding the function of this relay that understands electrical systems, would be appreciated.

I have owned the scooter going on a year now, and still looking for help with my Red Fox Razor 150cc scooter headlight problem. I have replaced the headlight relay twice. Each time it worked for a while, until the relay quit again. I am still running with just the battery voltage apparently. The relays are expensive, and hesitate to try another one until I understand what is causing them to burn out. I am wondering if it is connected right. I have studied diagrams, but still haven't figured it out. At 1,200 miles, the scooter is doing fine otherwise. I am looking for anyone else that has had this problem.
