I have five Chinese quads. I got them as they had been stored for about 3 years. I cleaned all the carburetors as they were really gunky and got three of them to run. However, I had electrical problems in two of them. I bought starter switches and some brake components. I then bought a $40 entire ignition system and did away with the original wiring harness. Use the one that came with the ignition package. Everything fit together pretty good. Match the wiring except for one thing and that was the stator. The stator that came with the packet had a red, blue, green, yellow and white wire. But the wiring on the wiring harness had a black and red instead of red wire and it had two yellow wires instead of a yellow and a white. I'm at the black and red with the red. The green with the green, the yellow with the yellow The blue with the blue and the yellow left over from the stator. I attached that to the white wire. My question is how do I tell which yellow wire was supposed to go to the white wire? I hope this makes sense to somebody. And I guess what I want to know is if I just buy a wiring harness with all the components it should work work on any one of my quads as all of them are 110s. One of them is a 90. None of them have any identification as to what kind of quad they are except for the motor size.
