I hope that someone can help me get this machine going! My kids are really disappointed. The new chinese ATA-125D atc I bought from xtremefirepower.com will not start nor will the headlights come on. A fully charged battery got the brake light, NEUTRAL & REVERSE lights to work, the theft alarm works. I put a volt meter on the battery lead s( battery removed first) & there is continuity - strangely, there is continuity even when the ignition key is off & even when it is removed completely. Could this be a grounding issue? where do I start ? I emailed & called the dealer 2 days ago with no response. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks novice1

When I got my Tao Tao, it would only start by remote start only ( pressing the "lightning bolt" button twice on the remote)... then I called the dealer and found out you have to press down on the foot brake AND pull in (firmly) on the hand brake (make sure manual kill switch is in "run" mode) and with both brakes depressed, press ignition button...if that doesnt work, try pressing the "unlock" button on the remote, and repeat the step above

There are alot of other safty devices on these machines. I have 200cc 4 speed's. The clutch actually has a electrical switch that must be engaged to statrt the bike. Also the switch assembly where the starter switch is located must have a good groung to the handle bars or it won't start!
