While I'm waiting for the Rocketa to arrive, I need some pointers from the more experienced riders.
Background first. I've been riding motorcycles since, well since I was 10 so lets just say about 35 years. Matter of fact if it has wheels I can drive it.
But as I get older I know that being over confident will get you into a lot of trouble fast.... so what are some dos and don'ts
Do ATVs tend to tip in hard corners or slide?
Do they bounce like a truck on wash board roads?
When you goose it, do they pop wheelies like a bike?
What would be the normal limit of ATV on steep inclines? 30 degrees 40 degrees?
Most of the time I'll be running it through the woods so my speed will tend to be fairly slow, I might even be pulling out a deer or two.

what kind of quad are you getting? if it's a sport quad then it will ride differently than a 4x4....... My quad claims only a 25-26 degree incline but I just railed it all day long up steeper than that(30-45).... tell us what your getting and we can tell you what your strength and weaknesses are

Well, its a Rocketa 400 4X4 can't find my papers right now, but I think it was ATV-45. I'm not out for speed or racing. I'm thinking more along the lines of running through the woods, hauling a deer, running through the creek, pulling a cart, drive down the 1/2 mile dirt road to get the mail, etc. Mind you I have a couple of hills that get a little steep. Steep enough I don't feel comfortable driving my tractor up them. Granted tractor - ATV, different animals, but you get the picture.
Mostly I bought this one for a utility type. I've driven many things with wheels, but only been on an "ATV" twice and only for a short test drives, so I don't want to think I have any knowledge of what I'm doing. Thanks, Aubrey
