I have a 125cc Moto Chinese pit bike that has under 25hrs of use. It has always had issues being kick started, but would usually start when pushed enough. I see Ebay has these super coils or new stators and have even heard that putting a CDI on the bike could help in getting it started. I can't get it to start now and don't know where to go for further help. I also have a 110 4 wheeler that runs great but seems to overheat and die after being ridden 20-30min. It then has to sit for 5-10 minutes before it will start up again. After it dies it just cranks over and sounds like it't not getting any fuel, but we've checked the fuel over and over and it's getting gas.
Any help would be great on either issue, my email is mreynolds63@cableone.net

I'm not sure what you have checked but off the top of my head:
The 125 bike, if you are getting spark, then the stator should be working to start. It been my experience, they work or don't, nothing in between. So if you have spark, it has to be fuel related. Did you put the bike together or bought assembled? I ask, because some dealers, not all, slap everything together, push them out the door. Without going through the bikes checking everything. I would also verify the valve gaps. Not enough gap and the valve could be partially open adding to your problem.
On the 4 wheeler, I would think one of two things, if it starts up fine and runs until it gets hot, the the gas may be vaporizing from the heat, or the stator might have a open that is not apparent until it gets hot. I would see where the gas line is in proximity to the engine and the exhaust, maybe route it away from heat, if possible. Are you getting spark after it gets hot? Maybe the kill switch shorts out?
Like I said earlier, not sure what you have checked and maybe you have covered all of this, but sometimes its the obvious stuff or simple stuff that we shrug off.

The issue is probably gum in the carb. The new 2011 and on carbs have to be sealed and are trouble to take apart so before doing that I would get some Stabil ethanol treatment and some starting fluid and drain all the gas and then put in fresh premium gas with the Stabil mixed in. Then take off the air cleaner and spray some starting fluid and see if it will run. If not, find a tutorial on how to clean a chinese carb on youtube.
